It was an idea that was turned down by our previous group.

I am a member of Pex, PPC, etc... but most were from Manila. So I hatched the idea of establishing one for the bisaya speaking populace.

The nickname was chosen for me by my wife and by my good friend Samm. When we started I wanted to have a username that is ancient, sounded unique, and had an air of leadership attached to it... one that would match the idea of being a "founder" and at the same time one who would "serve" the community. BeoR the Old is a fictional character by J.R.R. Tolkien and is one of the characters found in "The Silmarillion".
