    Default A New Year's Resolution for 2011 from a photographer

    Just sharing my new year's resolution for 2011 as a photographer. You may share yours as well.

    - Have more of my photos printed either in a coffee table book or a framed photo on my wall. I look at the works of old timers and realized that you can never truly appreciate your own photo until you print it like they did with their best shots. Photos that only end up in our computers or the web are only half way. HDR and other heavily edited photos if not properly done look really dull on paper. My wife made the move for me last year and printed some of her personal favorites of the photos I took using my PnS camera into a coffee table book and the photos really looked different on paper. Mas naay wow effect

    - Refine my portfolio.

    - Less being a gear head and more being a photographer.

    - Less complaining, more shooting.

    - Commit to more photo contests, travel photography and other photo opportunities. I skipped a lot last year kay lagi "busy".

    - And most of all, mag binut-an nako diri. Kapoy na sige pangaway ug sige lalis unsay nindot nga brand. Parehas ra, kung banga nag dala, banga gihapon kuha.

    Happy New Year iSTORYAns!

    Here are mine. Might add a few more as the days go by.

    - Find time to shoot.
    - Always think that you are shooting for contests / magazine covers / magazine features all the time.
    - Keep on improving.
    - Make money out of photography from time to time.

    @dbg- you're asking a photographer's new year resolution right? not photo-hobbyist's commitment for this year

    * to improve and share more here in istorya or outside istorya (fellow hobbyist) and to gain more friends.
    * increase faith and always believe in what you can do.
    * always think positive.
