Sometimes there is a need for us to lie.
Take for example during the Holocaust, in order for a Jew to survive the German who was looking for his kind to kill him, he had to lie to survive. The Germans didn't show mercy to them.
But if you lie just for the heck of it, that's another thing altogether.
