yup...that's the right, to make it more clear, create a group whatever groupname you like, with account priviledges and administrative rights, then you can modify it there via groupname, not on the default account settings.

pede rin, you make a user the let the user member to that "account" tapos you modify the user's by denying some administrative rights. RULE 1: "Deny options overrides permissions"

    secnerio 1:

"ACCOUNT GROUP" - can add/delete/modify users. so whoever members on it can do the same thing.
"USERA" - member of ACCOUNT GROUP, but has and denied of adding users, so by RULE1: it cannot add users.

    secnerio 2:

"ACCOUNT GROUP" - all permitted except DELETING USERS:
"USERA" - member of account group have ALL OPTION PERMITTED. even thou all options permitted, still cannot delete users, same thing applied in NTFS, and LOCAL SECURITY.

    Hope this helps

so kun mag-configure diay Active Directory (AD) kay kinahanglan pa o requirements gyud kabalo scripting?

i thought man gud nga purely GUI-like kana mura sige lang click next sa 'Wizard' then usbon lang ang data o input(s)

    Hi, tried reading these:

Scripting Active Directory Users using VBScript

    Scripting for Active Directory

dili na nimo kinahanglan e butang. directly ra na i-run nimo, sometimes when GUI is not enough you need some scripts.

    try reading this repository

TechNet Script Center Repository under "active directory"

    Default kalambigitan

bro MarkCuering i dunno if this is the right place to ask my ques pero kaning Active Directory (AD), and pag-setup o pag-configure ani kay ahead sa Domain Name Server (DNS) ug Domain Controller (DC) o sabay?

nice question :P but I hope i can explain this to you clearly coz its huge topic

Active directory is a product by Microsoft, we have Novell eDirectory, and OpenLDAP also (take note with that). they share almost the same concept. To manage computers, servers, pheriperals and users as well in the network. not like the simple form Workgroup connectivity.

Since active directory is a service, you need a computer to act as a server, which we called it Domain Controller. medyo complicated na with regards to domain controller especially in multiple networks across multiple domains.

for the meantime, imagine nlng na DNS help you to give a name to your computer or network. so instead of remembering sa ip address you will just remember the hostname.

maypag mag review ka nlng sa MSCA or MSCE or watch videos from CBT or TrainSignal.

hi bro MarkCuering ug maayung adlaw sa all

igo ug haum gyud kaayo ning mga info nga gi-share.

    ug Windows-based Administrator diay ka?

apan bro MarkCuering magmantinir lang una ko inquire ug follow-up sa mga post(s) o threads kay 'no budget' pa ta ana MSCA or MSCE. tingali makahigayun ra ta puhon sunod tuig kay tinuod nga dako gyud ni topic ug di tanan maka-usa tudlo ani nga thread.

besides, naa na man ko existing Win Server 2003 Standard Edition so tingali this is a good start. maayo na lang sa hinay2x madungag-dungagan ni akong mga configuration

    so in short
bro MarkCuering, pwede diay i-setup ni 3-applications (AD, DNS, DC) within 1-PC (physically)?
