being rational makes us human.. being rational sometimes means making hard decisions.
-Okay what concrete data you want me to provide to you.. on abortion? Again based on your reasoning on that issue I don't need to present to you any concrete data, it's self explanatory.

-You said that morality, good/evil are just things made up by men and yet you follow it. Those are basically some people's opinion and you yourself follow it and that makes you a member of the animal herd.. pls dont be hypocrite that you don't follow on the standards on what is good/evil. Just out of the context on abortion, you definitely follow and based your decision on what is good and evil. Yes, I agree, human is a rational being.. and making hard decision is part of it but it doesn't always mean you have to be inhumane.

i believe in utilitarianism... the cost of a few for the benifit/welfare of the many..

what is not seen/felt/heard count as nothing... juz keeping it real..

    reason and logic over emotion
    - I understand on a utilitarianism idea, but i certainly hope it's a rule utilitarianism..coz it seeks to benefit the most people but through the fairest and most just means available.

prevention is always better than cure..
    I could not agree more..

Para lang nko is mas maau nalang dili ipa abort, give them chance pod to live.. but with regard anang mga batang pa laboy2x sa kalsada them manglimus ug possible makimong kriminal na hnuon, louy sad na cla. parents should be responsible enough para sa ilang mga anak and gov't should be more aware ani na situation.. not only to those people nga manglimus but to those less fortunate people in general.

dapat isulong ang parenthood and family responsibility og dili pagpatay sa mga bata. lol.

if that's the case, they should legalize death penalty then...

ang mga bata nga inosente patyon pero katong mga nakapatay igo ra mag reclusion perpetua? where's justice?

People who believe that legalizing abortion are not blind or stupid, they are just afraid that if it will be legal people may abuse it and misuse and will end up acting irresponsible. "people dont need laws to decide" - WTF? Are you serious? are you from what jungle? Committing rape, adultery, concubinage doesn't make laws ineffective.. now these are the people you can call stupid and blind. You go ahead decide on your own without following the LAW then we'll see asa ka puniton. There maybe people still committing crime but at least LAW is there to minimize such.
laws i believe does not affect our own conviction of what is moral or what is not (unless that is only applicable to me because i dont need law to tell me to act fairly with my dealing with other people) , some will think gambling is immoral but its legal, polygamy is legal among our muslim brothers but that does not mean its already moral for us... personally laws should not be base on moral, probably it should be base on more definite ground such as order, protection of property, liberty, public policy...

this is the point on the debate on abortion... because we have different interpretations of morality... just what i said we have different views on whose life is of greater value....

im not promoting abortion... i am for legalizing abortion but i want law makers to make a very strict rules with regards to it... im not in favor if abortion will be use by people to escape the consequence of their action; but im also in favor of the protection women and children's health (physical and mental) such as rape victims and yes im in favor of abortion for children under the age of 15 regardless if its a consequence of an action they fully consented; i want couples to have the choice to choose whether they want their child to live having in mind the possibility that their child might be abnormal... its for them to take the risk or not...

many see abortion as a black and white issue... which for me its not... its not as if if you're for it you are not against it... or if you are against it you will not favor it in special circumstances

I dont think abortion will ever be legalize in the Phils... im fine with that... but i dont think that people who choose to do it should be denied treatment and care... they should undergo counseling rather than persecution..

A small pro-life victory at the Senate, for sure. There will be more battles to be fought, however, and we must remain vigilant to make sure that abortifacient contraceptives aren't sneaked in the the RH/Abortion bills or other means.

    99% BUDGET CUT
    Senators nix P880M for condoms

MANILA, Philippines—Senators have castrated the Department of Health’s (DOH) budget for contraceptives for distribution to the country’s poor starting next year.

From P880 million, the allocation for the department’s so-called “family health” program was hacked by 99 percent to a mere pittance of P8 million during a budget caucus among senators last Wednesday, Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said on Friday.

The Senate caucus approved the proposed P1.645-trillion national budget on second and third readings later that evening.

    Won’t violate Constitution

Sotto said the senators decided to use the bulk of P872 million, which was chopped off from the original DOH proposal, to improve the budget of state universities and colleges and for programs such as scholarships in science and technology institutes.

As a “compromise,” the senators decided to keep P8 million but with the clear instruction that it would be spent only on condoms, according to Sotto.

“We decided to allow the purchase of condoms because it’s the only contraceptive that will not violate our Constitution,” Sotto told the Inquirer, citing the provision protecting the life of the unborn, starting from “conception.”

Sotto said other types of contraceptives in the DOH’s purchase list were abortifacients, which terminate pregnancy from the stage of a fertilized egg.
