I think you mean the Higher the Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) the more energy efficient it is, resulting to more savings in power (elect.)

Wrong, Hp in airconditioners is the measurement of motor (compressor) power but not of cooling power. Cooling power is in BTU. You have to look for an aircon with the highest BTU rating (for the same Hp) to make it most efficient. In short, just look for the highest EER rating for the same compressor (Hp) rating.

there is acutally a conversion for h.p. to BTU... i think its 1 hp = 9,000 BTU

i think the split type has less consumption

in my observation

if the room has many people it the compressor works full blast....

but if there are few people in the room the compressor works less....

so split type aircons adjust very well depending on the requirement...

if you set the split type temp. at 20 celcius.... it keeps the room at 20 celcius.... when there are more people in the room it works more but with less people in the room it works less....

we are charged by our electric providers according to how much power we consume, that is by the kilowatt.

so kung si window mo consume ug 1kw in one day unya si split mo consume ug 1kw in one day, parehas ra ug bayad di ba?
this all boils down to how long can your window type cool down a given room volume and how the users in the room help in maintaining the cool temperature.

lets look the other way, both consumes 1kw but one of them has a higher EER rating...hmm choose the one with the higher EER rating. Ang higher EER rating means dali siya maka pabugnaw with the same(1kw) consumption.

para maka save gyud, kung bedroom, reduce the size/volume of your bedroom inig matulog na ka, i.e butangi ug divider/insulator para mogamay ang volume sa room. That way, dili na kaayo mo trabaho si aircon ug pabugnaw sa part sa imong room nga dili kinahanglanon nga bugnaw.

ahh, paypay na lang para walay electric consumption.

now i learned. nice unta ang split type pero mahal lang. window type nalang para maka save gamay.
