I had a friend who was on a working visa status and his agency was owned by a Filipina. the filipina was taking advantage of him and a few others by collecting monies when she was not supposed to. She was collecting checks from them. Finally, my friend and his roommates sila tanan working visa they filed a complaint with the immigration. It took a while due to investigative work on top. That Filipina who owns the agency committed fraud. She got jailed and my friend and his roommates who filed the joint complaint was able to recover the monies they paid to her on top they were able to renew and extend their work permits. So there are some like that. Its very bad and its a shame doing that to their own kind.

i also wanna share my experience before.. bag-o pa ko dri gpasulod ko work sa friend sa ako bana sa haagen dazs ky filipino ang franchise owner.. i was thinking nga maau ni ky kababayan ra ni resign ko sa usa nko ka work pra adto mosulod sa haagen dazs.. at first he (the franchise owner) trained me sa pa sikot2x sa store and how to make and decorate ice cream cakes, how to make orders from our supplier and how to handle large volume of orders.. after a week i asked him how much wud i be paid ingon sha minimum so i was thinking nga $7.50-8 mama mia pgkadawat nko sa ako sweldo $5.50 so he tried to tell me this pa konswelo de bobo thing nga after 3 months gaan ko nya ug increase human he asked me f mosugot ba ko assistant manager nya? alangan pa cute i immediately said yes saun nglaum lagi sa sweldo.. i worked harder than the owner ako issue check byad sa mga supplier, open and close sa store, mg train ug mga bag-o nga "victim" associates, himo ug ice cream cake, mg decorate ice cream cakes, himo ug mga sprinkled & coated waffle cone and some other stuffs nga kung buot hunahuna-on wla sa ako job description and worst limpyo sa CR. after 3 months ng hinam2x nko na cguro daku na ni ako sweldo ky ako na nibuhat sa mga things nga angay cya nga tag-iya and manager ang mohimo, and i was right daku na tuod ako sweldo $6.00 50 centavos omento sa lunod patay nko nga trabaho.. mo work ko ug 50 hours/week minimum kung naa mga holidays 58hours/week nga wlay bayad2x sa holiday & overtime pay.. m a legal resident pro wla ko kasabot nganu tikasan jud ko nya pg maau and take note guys kmi tnan nga mga pinoy sa iya store tagaan nya gamay sweldo pro ang amoa kauban nga mga insik ug puerto rican tagaan nya $8/hour.. daku pa ug sweldo ang ako mga taw ky nko nga assistant manager sa name & tittle ra kusog pa jud mgpa bati2x nko storya nga mglagot kuno cya mga pinoy nga mg SUV ug skyanan ky kalas kuno gasolina mga tagaw kuno cya nga 1984 pa cya dri merica unya stable na kuno cya wla man gni kuno cya ng SUV grrrrrrrrr abi kita man cya nga ako car SUV g initan na ang mga pinoy nga mg SUV masuyaon mao cguro g daug2x ko

that's how it is silingan if you're living in a country where "success" is always the name of the game.. it's so sad to think why pinoys in the US are always at the forefront of discrimination.. and to think, angay unta ta ninyo mag tinabangay coz kita-kita ra gud ang naa diri.. i simply don't understand why pride always swallow them whole when they had the chance to become professionals or rich..

is it because of their status? ang naka pait pa jud.. once they get to leave US and go back to the Philippines, grabe sad kaayo mu discriminate thinking that yeah, i'm from america blah blah blah...
