guys, the thread just stated on Legalize abortion or not.. you are mumbling on RH bill and the church. just simply express your idea if against mo or dili sa abortion. by the way, RH bill does not promote abortion. Between the RH bill and the church, that's another issue.
I think we need to protect this country from the excesses of the Catholic church, because not everybody is Catholic and furthermore of those who call themselves catholic, very few are really practicing and an even smaller minority agree with the Church especially on this issue.
Most of the protestant faiths don't have the same fanatical position on the RH bill as the catholic leaders do, and the muslims are also not vocal against this bill. It is only the catholics especially their propaganda wing that is trying to make something that isn't abortion, into abortion. Thankfully people are smarter than this, and it looks like the church and its attack squads are getting so desperate they have threatened criminal activity just to force their beliefs on everyone.
Let's protect our country by attacking, criticizing and humiliating these people every chance we get. This is the only way to protect ourselves from their lies.
Yes but the first post shows that this thread really is about the RH bill, not abortion. It's better to say that the subject has nothing to do with what the poster is actually on about. He is saying RH bill = abortion. He is not really interested in knowing if you are for or against abortion, because obviously most people are against abortion. The dishonesty of the original poster is in his making the bill = abortion. He has to make this crazy assertion in order to easily win the argument with lies. It goes something like this:
1) He knows most people, especially in the Philippines, gets sick at the thought of abortion.
2) He lies and says the RH Bill = Abortion.
3) Since most people are against abortion, if he succeeds in making RH Bill = Abortion, then he also gets most people to go against RH Bill.
Luckily most people aren't stupid enough to fall for his BS. In order for #3 to work, #2 also has to take effect. He hasn't managed to convince anyone to think RH Bill = Abortion, so he failed to achieve 3. That's why he's so desperate.

paka hero na pd ning church. pde diay mang hilabot ang church sa mga law e passa sa congress?
the church has no genuine interest on the welfare of the children.. all it really cares is its political influenec and the perks it gets for such influence..
kung sincere pa jud tana ni ang simbahan, active tana ila role sa poverty-alleviation, wala tana street children or mga homeless old people sa kalsada..
the church wants debates2x and other conversation but it doesnt want to take action by itself...
maau ra mo storya...
**pka-hero pero wa sa lugar

I think you should not generalize, this is a common mistake most people do. Though some of them are just into the political influence and "perks". In you thoughts you are asserting that the church are simply saying not acting, again do not generalize.. besides you are leading on a wrong direction. Stick on the RH bill controversy if you may. Some religious sect are doing good man pod.. not that you blame the country's poverty solely to the church as it is mainly the gov'ts responsibility to do so needless to say we are also responsible in uplifting our country economically. Again, I'm into separation of Church and the State, but as we can see the church are here to check and investigate the law especially this RH bill. As what I've observed it is their duty to remind the people (their members) of their moral obligation, you can't blame the church even if you say it's stone age rules and teachings. Bottomline is it is on each one of us on how to react and act on this issue. Either way you are not forced to use or not to use contraceptives it's not against the law anyway.
naa uban nag-act.. pero tabla ra sideshow sa whole organization. hahahaha.. your right the church or other religious orgs are not the only ones responsible.. but they are the one nag-pa-gubot2x ani... di ba diay sila pwede mag remind nlang every sunday nga extra-marital s3x si bad? ngano apil2an pa man nila tawn ang programa sa goberno oi... just because they dont agree, doesnt mean everyone shoudnt agree pud...
thats correct. we are not forced to use or not to use contraceptives.. but the problems is their are people who are ignorant bout contraceptives or on some cases how reproduction really works. and their are people out there who in their false sense of righteosness wants to keep these people ignorant (totally or partially) on these matters..
im promoting unbiased, amoral, facts from which the people can create their own decisions...
still, what the church's is doing and some of its follower's behaviour towards those who wants an RH-bill is somewhat a crapload... (Ex, harrasment, mis-information, etc..)
--the foundation of democracy is the belief that everybody has access to ALL the information there is..
-- an authoritarian state only releases information it prefers so the people will have limited scope. (much like how the church is acting right now)
lets support freedom of information.. lets support the RH-bill
