Kung pure, 100% mathematics jud, wala na ciay practical application sa trabaho diri sa pilipinas except if mag maestro ka...

Pero, ang pwede siguro magamit pirme, ang basic algebra, ug basic trigonometry, if engineer ka. Pero basic ra jud, like linear equations, or basic pythagorean theorem.

Depende man pod kung asa ka trabaho...

There is no limitation on the problem that the prices should be a whole number. so 3b = 2c can be satisfied by b = 0.6666 and c = 1.333333. or b = 1 and c = 1.5 or b = 10 and c = 15. I do get that what you presented is one of the infinite number of solutions to the problem. The weakness of the solution is the arbitrary picking of numbers to satisfy 3b = 2c.

Ang amo dean pag college, third year pako ato, naapa koy Advanced Engineering Math, ug Numerical Methods... explained to us, that Engineers are not meant to be mathematicians. The Math subjects are there to exercise our analytical and technical skills pohon.

    I admit, it's true...

"a math equation maybe can't solve this, not so sure... but you can use tinamban instead... by the way, tinamban is a cebuano term for the word shortcut...

3 men were tasked to sell 10pcs, 30pcs and 50pcs of eggs respectively. part of the task was that they should have same amount of money at the end of the day but should also be selling the eggs at the same price and all the eggs should be sold-out...

maybe guys you can help these men... "

galibog ko sa problem... sayop man cguro ni... how can they came up same money at the end of the day kung DAPAT magpareha silag presyo inig baligya.... the correct answer is ZERO....ila ra ipanghatag cguro ang eggs....tsk...tsk... what kind of problem is this??

MATH is the simpliest subject f u think the good side of it... dili pariha sa uban... kinahanglan nmo memorizun.. english, or uban pa... sa math kinahanglan lang sabton unsa problema tapus balik balik ra na problem.. nakalahi lang ang given no or interpret

are we going to advance technologically if we support this set-up?

    .
apparently based ni on some assumptions which need examination:
    1. That "pure" math can be clearly distinguished from "applied math" -- where does pure end and applied begin? in reality "pure math" and "applied math" are not crisp sets. black and white distinction is not possible, between them you'll find not only different shades of gray but even maybe the whole spectrum of colors.
    2. even if pure math can be clearly distinguished from applied math, the latter can not exist without the former. ang naka daot man gud sa uban kay kun mag study mangita mag shortcut, magpili unsa ray gustong tun-an. modretso sa application, di intresado mosabot sa basic principles.

kun tanawn, ang mga countries nga mas open to new ideas maoy mas dali mo develop og new technology. consider fuzzy logic which is useful in AI, robotics, manufacturing, transportation etc. pag introduce ni lotfi zadeh sa idea didtos US daghang di intresado kay complicated and even theoretical. gusto sa daghang mga amerkano kanang "practical" -- dretso computer technology without messy set theory. but the japanese were more accommodating. the effect: mas naka benefit ang mga japanese kaysa mga amerkano.
