    Default Fuel-saving tips question

    Guys,

I know daghan na thread related to this and I've read some of them. My question is quite specific though. For example, I read this already but it seems it didn't improved the fuel consumption of the car.

So I have this Kia Avella car. I travel from Jagobiao, Mandaue to I.T. Park, Cebu City. I compared it to my friend who's driving Honda Civic from Canduman to I.T. Park. His fuel consumption is 500 per week (Mon to Fri). How come mine is 600 per week. I thought Kia consume less fuel than Honda cars. Is this true?

My question is, what could be the reason my car is consuming this amount of gasoline? Dli man ko paspas mo drive, just around 60-70 is gabii nga walay traffic. I step on the clutch man gani if wala ko gi sundan kay dagan ra man (if gikan kusog nga dagan) so I don't have to step on the accelerator. Dli ba kaha ang gasolina? I tried Petron extra unleaded and XCS but murag same ra man. Should I switch to Shell or Caltex? Na overhaul na sad ni nga car 6 months ago and naka travel to Bogo without any problem.

From work to office, walay karga, just me sa car.

By the way, how many times in a year dapat magpa tune sa engine? Mu kurog/kala usahay kanang nka 1st gear, which is normal man cguro if dli tarong ug step ang clutch.

    Pls share guys.

    Thanks.

efi or carb ang imuha ug imu friend nga awto? para nako mas efficient ang 1.5/1.6 for older cars nga efi compared sa 1.3 carbs.

daghan kaayo og factors bro that contribute to fuel consumption. the mass of your vehicle, it's overall weight, your engine's specs, the tires you use, your vehicle's aerodynamics, your tires and even your weight would affect fuel consumption. pun.an pa nga ang imo gicompare sa imong awto kay lahi pud nga awto...it's like comparing an orange to an apple.

Thanks for sharing bai. So with the info I shared, knowing that my is car is not heavy, I'm definitely not heavy , tire grove is ok (used in 4 mos) with 30 psi, engine jud ni ang iCheck? If engine, what part usually?

About the 2 cars, assuming puro brand new, mas dako ug fuel consumption ang Honda?

ot lng.. giunsa ninyo pag drive bro na 500 and 600php /week rman inyo konsumo? everyday ni inyo travel? traffic condition : heavy, moderate or low?

sa ako experience ky 1.5K/week mao ako pa.gas sa amo honda city. with ave fuel consumption of 10k/li nya mga 350-375+ distance traveled in 1 full tank.

OnT: full consumption bro depends on many factor, i know 2 of them; driving habit and traffic volume... if cge kag hunong2x ky dako2x jud nag impact sa imo FC.

ako every 6months rko mag.pa tuneup.. sa casa rman sad gud.. hehehe

+1 ko ani,,,, puno lang have tried various cars from korean, japanesse, american and european however momatter jud sad sa brand or car maker ky they have defferent technology and sometimes some car engine fits such brand fuel... just like my 95 hyundai excel 1.5 (carbs) mas kalas sya fuel compared to my 87 BMW318i (1.8 EFI) using velocity, my bimmer kalas if im using unleaded

pinakasayon nga tip, maka save ka when you spend less. Focus on spending less. Spending less fuel, saves you some fuel. Spending less money, saves you some money. Kung mangutana ka how, imagination is your only limit sa possible nga mga tubag.
