This is an interesting topic. I have been in Siquijor and stayed there for about 18 days. I was also curious about "aswang, barangan, good and bad healer".

So far wala man jud me nka experience ug "aswang " along the street. My husband and I used to go up in the mountain for driving and at the same time for curiousity pero wala man me namatikdan usahay magagihin man jud me pag uli from the mountain.

But we met one lady, whom I ask for help sa celphone nga nawala sa akong friend, Then she showed me something like a spinning wheel nga gi pang hikot niya mga pictures and names sa lain lain tawo. I dont really know if she could help, kay hangtod karon wala pa man nabalik ang mobile phone sa akong amiga.

One thing good in Siquijor is the beaches kay limpyo jud.Sa mga locals mostly ok ra sila pero some of them wise na kaayo labina if mo adto ka sa cave, instead 50 ra sa guide ask jud sila ug dako labina foriegner ila makita.

In my own opinion kung dili ka mag himo ug dautan sa imo isig katawo, nothing to fear baya kay dili man sab na sila mang hilabot, friendly man gani ang mga tawo didto.

So try lang sab mo ug adto.

there's this urban legend about this mystical island.. if you mention the place - Siquijor - you'll receive mixed reactions. some experiences are otherworldly like witchcrafts, "barang" etc.. others are about mythical creatures like "sigbin", "agta", "manananggal" etc etc.. and there's a lot more that this island is associated with. occurrences and events that are somewhat unexplainable..

any of you guys have a first hand experience of the above mentioned locale or stories from people you know who are from there? accounts from somebody who've witnessed anything unusual about the place and it's people? maybe everything's a myth, maybe not.. this is your place to share those experiences..

What is lumay is that same as like gayuma? so what is the concoction of lumay? what do you do with it - eat, drink, haplas?

Yup...the same as in parehas. Katong para sa girl kay ihaplas sa girl or sa iya things like panyo while katong for friends or business kay ibutang lang kuno sa store or w/in sa imo lawas. Don't know if it's true kay ila sample kay ibutang man ang lumay sa bagol then makita nimo ang manok moadto gyud sa bagol nga naa ang lumay.

Naa ra naghatag nako sa una ug lana nga naa mga gamot para man kuno to protection kun naa dautan mo bokal kuno ang lana.

ambot lang aning mga lumay unsa man smell ana? siguro moadto sa bagol ang manok kay abi sa manok naay chicken feed didto not because of lumay. then kanang lumay imong ihaplas sa imo body then kung naay dautan moduol nimo mobukal na siya you mean makapaso na siya. then your skin gets burned? but since i have heard about this Siquijor stories in a long time and the island has that kind of reputation i remember even before mosakay mi sa barko bastqa moagi na gani ug Siquijor ang mga tao naa gyud istorya about the island pointing to that island pa. So meaning to say, naay tinood gyud ana. Basing on some of the stories i've read here same thing. I dont think i want to go there basin mabuyagan ko, lol
