I was watching ASAP last October 31st... I was very excited waiting for my IDOL NINA to sing as it is her birthday celebration.

So she sang...first with Gary V. I adored Gary V while he was singing because it sounded like he has put his soul on the song. His and Nina's voice was a very good combination. Nice kaayo ang blending..walay sapaway. Gary V gave the moment to Nina knowing it is her bday.

Then she sang next with Jed Madela... I felt kinda uneasy because I know Jed..his my idol as well.. I know taas siyag tingog. But i idolized him the more kay nice kaayo iya pagkakanta.. He didn't lost the eye contact with Nina. Kung high notes gani, iyang hinayan iyang tingog or ipaubos niya iyang tono para molabaw si Nina... Which is good kay Nina is the lady so dapat siya ang taas ug pitch.

Then the last person she sang with was Arnel Pineda. I have nothing against this man until then. Saona motan-aw ko ani niya mokanta...maka-feel ko nga mugara siya. Pasikat ra kaayo bah... But I didn't mind it kay we all know how far he got his self...we all know unsa kadako iyang achievements which made all the Filipinos proud...but then...

pagsugod pa lang sa kanta nila... naglabaw na jud ang tingog ni Arnel to the point nga dili na madungog ang tingog ni Nina. Then sa length sa whole song...maihap ra ang instances nga motan-aw siya ni Nina. Nagsige siyag tuwad2x ug inutong while nagkanta...mas lihok pa siya ni Nina with matching kanang iyang kamot nga magsige ug raise...I must say...nairita jud ko kay klaro kaayo sa face ni Nina nga wala kaayo siya ganahi sa ilang duet.

He's famous...he's talented...can he not give atleast a single performance in favor to the Diamond record holder soul siren? Ambot basta it made me hate him.

Kamo? katong mga nakakita? unsay masulti ninyo?

it did! it absolutely did... but the moment was meant to be for Nina...and he stole it all from her. He was swaying that if you would look at the both of them he will get your attention more than the bday celebrant herself. He's big enough...Can he not give a little space for Nina to shine on her bday? Jed is a belter too but he opted to do blending and let Nina shine..

it's his style and his style sucks. it's a DUET. you have to do certain things when doing a DUET. Or even in that case, a tribute to Nina. but arnel obviously doesnt know about that.

well he's not a master of DUETS... unlike jed madela or martin nievera who have recorded songs in duets....

most of arnel's songs (journey) are not duets... so its not a surprise that arnel is not used to this kind of thing (duet).... also, his style is rock ballad... so expected nana na high pitched gyud iyang voice...

this should not come as a surprise nor should it be interpreted as "DISRESPECTFUL"....
