Your Suggestions..means that theres no need for RH Bill and legalizing Abortion..
You can abort your next child to underground doctos who are currently doing it..
But legalizing it is a different story.. you are teaching innocent teens to have s*e*x*..coz its SAFE..
and killing babies who have no chance to oppose..

This is the reason why I am pro-RH bill. It's not for myself; I can certainly afford to go into a pharmacy and buy a box of Premier Ultra Thin condoms (my preferred brand). I'm thinking about the poor people who can't exercise birth control because they don't have access to these contraceptives simply because they cannot afford it.

^ Yes it's true bai and most of the poor people are really ignorant, to a degree that you wouldn't believe. What the Catholic church is engaging in is intellectual dishonesty, especially when they say that there is already freedom of choice now. They've obviously never been to a barangay marriage information session, some people don't even know how to put a condom on, and worse some people don't even know that having *** causes pregnancy. This is the kind of imbecility that the church wants to propagate.. all they care about is letting people have as many children as possible, they don't really care if those children will eat three times a day. They just want to collect baptismal fees, and that doesn't require the baby to survive beyond one year.

To say that the church doesn't care if those children will eat three times is insane. Wow, some people are plain ignorant and reckless in their choice of words. all they care about is blah blah blah...wow!! really?! Please read ang reason sa church why against sila sa RH Bill.

I know what their stated reasons are, but their reasons aren't going to feed those countless kids who will be born because of their policy of continued mass ignorance. So call me plain ignorant, it's better than being a deluded or a blind follower.

plain and simple.. If its not against your will, why resist? We are lucky because we live in democracy therefore we have a choice, and with that comes awareness to help us choose and decide whats best to live harmoniously...

On that point, sayop na daan si Avila... there is actual need for this bill and dili lang ni "pangwarta" as most people here would like to call it.

Kung pangwarta man gani gyud ang tuyo sa mga politicians,,, ngano i-single out man ang RHB? there are so many other opportunities to make money sa congress. Singling out the RHB as a way for them to make money is unfair. it has nothing to do with whether the bill should be passed or not.. and more to do with corruption within government. Following his point, we shouldnt pass any other bill for that matter since the congressmen will just make money from it? That's what makes his argument ridiculous.
you're over simplifying & taking things out of context bro.. what he meant was, there is no need for a bill for RH to be effective.. Congress should take more time to make laws that are actually needed for our country..

you mean to say that we don't have equal access right now to contraceptives? are you sure?! by the way, reproductive health has been taught in schools for a long time.. it doesn't require congress to make it a law.. CHED could just adopt it in their curriculum though I don't agree that it be taught to as young as kindergartens also (as what CHED planned before). I just don't see the need for the bill bro.. waste of our time & taxpayers money if you ask me.. better they prioritize their laws on education, etc..

like i said, i don't take B. Avila's word for it hook, line & sinker.. but i have to agree, why push for a bill when it isn't really needed?.. what is needed is education on reproduction.. you don't need a friggin' RH bill for that!!

why would you even call it an "opportunity" to make money bro?.. that shouldn't even be their agenda in the first place.. corruption is inherent in our government there are only a very few who aren't corrupted by the system.. I guess laws on punishing corrupt politicians is even a more daunting priority right now.. just my two cents..

I am pro-LIFE but I still believe that we can make our own choices given the right knowledge & moral compass to guide us.. I just hope congress makes Laws that are really needed in our country.. using the same, right knowledge & moral compass too..

^ well this law is needed in our country so it should be passed. Anyway it's up to the lawmakers, I think as a democratic society we should allow our elected officials to debate and pass laws without resorting to bully tactics or propaganda. I know who Bobit is and I think he is letting his religious convictions influence his opinions.

Yes, not everyone has access to contraceptives. Suway lang ug adto sa provinces and far flung baranggays. Also, not everyone is privileged enough to afford them.

the way, reproductive health has been taught in schools for a long time.. it doesn't require congress to make it a law..CHED could just adopt it in their curriculum though I don't agree that it be taught to as young as kindergartens also (as what CHED planned before). Are you sure reproductive health is being taught in all schools? The RHB basically requires all schools to teach students about reproductive health. Also, the curriculum is dependent on the intellectual maturity of the student... so any fear of teaching the birds and the bees to innocent kids is just fear mongering from the church. Studies have shown no conclusive proof of increased sexual activity among children who were taught about reproductive health.

like i said, i don't take B. Avila's word for it hook, line & sinker.. but i have to agree, why push for a bill when it isn't really needed?.. what is needed is education on reproduction.. you don't need a friggin' RH bill for that!!
You're saying that, we need education on reproduction... or in this case reproductive health.

My question to you is... How are you going to enforce that if you are against the RHB? THe RHB basically requires schools to educate children about reproductive health...

You are against a bill which seeks to do the very thing you want to happen... I would suggest you read the bill properly and go beyond the fear mongering and conspiracy theories or what people like Bobit Avila have to say... and decide for yourself based on facts and actual contents of the bill.

why would you even call it an "opportunity" to make money bro?.. that shouldn't even be their agenda in the first place.. corruption is inherent in our government there are only a very few who aren't corrupted by the system.. I guess laws on punishing corrupt politicians is even a more daunting priority right now.. just my two cents..
Maybe you should ask Mr. Avila why he thinks that way... I just pointed out how silly his logic for being against the RHB is... as he said and I quote...

"most laws that pass through Congress have monies attached to it. Since the RH bill needs funding from the government, this is one way that our Congressmen can get their hands into the nation’s coffers. Legally of course! " - Bobit Avila

You are right... it shouldn't be in the agenda in the first place... Thanks for making my point.

I am pro-LIFE but I still believe that we can make our own choices given the right knowledge & moral compass to guide us.. I just hope congress makes Laws that are really needed in our country.. using the same, right knowledge & moral compass too..
I respect your rights and moral decisions.. but you should also afford the same rights and moral decision to everyone. They also have the right to information on reproductive health and they have the right to choose. You are crossing the line when you let your own choice and moral compass deter them from making their choice... Unless you are claiming infallibility and absolute moral correctness, it is a personal decision and it's their choice, not yours.

Anyway, pro-Life does not mean you have to be against the RHB. Read Sec 3.m. of the bill.
