In an interview, Binay identified the suspect as Tony Nepomuceno (not Concepcion as earlier reported by dzMM), a student of Manuel L. Quezon University and member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity. Binay is the highest ranking member of the APO fraternity in government.
"Our brod is being suspected. After what happened, it is always the tendency to blame our fraternity. No group is holding him. The APO leadership is sad about this incident but I believe he is innocent of the crime," he told radio dzMM after bringing the suspect to the National Bureau of Investigation.
