I understand you have 2 PC's right? When will you use one over the other?

Also, you mentioned nga you won't connect the monitor.... that's not gonna help you much if mag brownout... you wont be able to save your documents etc...

I would recommend you connect the PC that needs standby power to the UPS along with its monitor... the other PC, pwede AVR lang... unless you get to UPS's or kaya ra sa UPS ang 2 ka monitors w/ 2 pc's..

the first one is running 24/7 but the other one is dili kaayo pirme... i don't want to disturb man gud ang first PC man gud... pwede ra gihapon itaud ang monitor sa first PC sa UPS... as for the 2nd PC, pwede ra PC ibutang dili nlang nko iapil ang monitor, i can just press the Power key sa keyboard para ma shutdown lang og tarung hehehe... basta ang 1st PC lang jud ang importante

that setup might work.... those figures sa psu calc are pretty conservative as well. I've already tried comparing the theoretical load of my setup vs. a watt meter sa outlet... around 30% lower ang actual pero the biggest factor is the videocard gyud.. if low power lang or integrated ang usa ka card... much better.

@TS im not gud @ calculating sa power consumption and dont have time to google it pra mka answer ko nimo ug tarong.. Ill just tell you my experiences sa pag gamit ug UPS..

brand I use: KBOS and APC
    Rating 600VA

loads: 1 CPU with 400 Watts power supply
1 LCD monitor 10.4" up to 21" Brand LG/AOC(cant tell you the watts data but i guess same rana cla sa uban)
1 dotmatrix printer (receipt 70x80mm paper load) gagmay ni cya na printer epson brand

results: sa APC na brand usually mo dagan cya ug 20-30 mins
(full charge time 12 hours dapat wala cya load inig charge after purchase)
sa KBOS na brand is 30-50 mins (full charge time is 20 hours same no laod while charging)

tips: dapat after purchase nimo sa UPS i full charge sa cya sa required charging time without loads to optimize the battery performance. ang naghatag ug power sa imo UPS is the battery and not its circuit. and mostly sa nindot na battery for UPS is panasonic brand 12V/7.2 Ah. so inig purchase ninyo better ask whats the battery inside for better choice of quality.

Based on experience rani nko idol without proper explanation how come it results like that.

@gmaroxram, i think mas taas ang Ah rating sa battery sa KBOS kaysa APC mao mas dugay siya mahurot.. not to mention dugay sad siya i-charge.
