Same old issues....isn't it clear that they really want to implement these rules whether we like it or not...It's not bad to be activists but a good leader must know when to stop, when to recognize that all has been done....Wasting your time and energy in a battle that the winner is certain, won't do any good....Putting up a fight against the Administration is not a solution...I'm not saying we submit to them fully and unconditionally....I'm just saying we use our heads...We're Carolinians, we're known for our brains...

it's a way of training the students on how to act, dress, and look decently later on as professionals. it's called personal development. other than academics, USC is grooming it's students to become worthy individuals in the future.

Firstly, "what ifs" existed because they were once real.

you can't please everybody, but at least the school have pleased the majority of the students by the kind of education USC has and not on the policies that they imposed. talking about passing rate, colleges which are centers of excellence and the number of professionals it produces.

did i say that the school has not given importance to students who are not academically intelligent? if that's the case then rally that to the priest rather than bragging on issues on minor policies like haircut..etc!

For me anyone who will transfer is a lost even if he/she is not that intelligent or smart or responsible enough.

yes, the school forms and molds students to be responsible and part of being responsible is to follow policies and rules. Following policies trains students to follow rules when they are in the professional arena.

different as yours and for some who disagree with the policy. How long would you grow your hair before you shave it? in a scale of 1-10, how hurting would it be to have your facial hair shaved? You don't need to shave your facial hair everyday unless it grows rapidly. if it would really compromise your face bec. of cuts/pain brought about by shaving, i think you need to justify your case before the school authorities. this is a case to case basis, if i put this on medical perspective.

If that so then why include it in the policies. It has nothing to do with education. Some people are just designed to have it. Even if you ask other people who have thick beards or other facial hairs, some of them dont actually like it. Only if they can control its growth, im sure many of them will.
Though we have surgery or what ever medical way we can have to take it off but it will cost so much money. Shaving everyday? It will just make it grow more and thicker and more rapidly.
Some people i know dont want to shave their beards or mustache because of that issue (that it will get thicker & thicker and grow rapidly & irritate skin). They just cut it with scissors instead.

here we go again, your favorite what ifs. hehe first it would be impossible if all are forced to comply because there would always be students who will comply with the rules, students who are aware with the policies right before the enter and enroll in USC, students who are not affected by the policies bec. their respective departments have set the standards of complying policies such as haircut, facial hair...etc like in the case of nursing, pharmacy among others. reality bites.

of course it is possible especially when the policy is beyond its limits.

the question is... will the students let go oftheir beloved USC just bec. of some policies? NEVER, for students will always opt for a better school, for quality education rather than on some polices.

USC is not the only school that has quality education.
So that's it, because USC is ensured that their students love them that's why USC is confident enough to impose such policies even if it offends some of the students' right?. hmmn. peace...!

it is also a responsibility of the students to know first the rules/policies of the school where they want to enroll. prior pa unta sa tanan, kung di sila ganahan sa skul kay try sila ug inquire sa uban. dili kay anha na cla magcge ug reklamo nga student na cla ana nga institution

Other schools have uniforms, have their grooming policies, even have stricter policies than USC. If you want to graduate in USC, you have to adhere to their policies. Now tell me, if you get employed in the future and your employer have some policies, will you stage a rally just because you don't like their uniforms? Company ID slings?
