Whats the difference between the two? Other are using the terms VOIP but there refering to IPtel.
What would be the exact word to use? Are Telcos misleading us?

IPT is digitized voice right from the handset.
VoIP is voice from traditional handset/PBX that is converted into network traffic at the router level.

or simply... IP Telephony an IP PHone to an IP phone communication... (H323, SIP, etc protocols used) while VOIP is an analog device/phone to an IP phone or other analog phone via IP v.v. (TDM-IP-TDM).
