Thyroid Cancer: Tips Anyone?

Hi all!

I just want to know who has a thyroid cancer here or who knows somebody who got this ailment and what are they doing about it? surgery? RAI? any medications?did it recur?

I myself had a thyroid cancer (Papillary CA) and even if I already underwent surgery and Radioactive Iodine, it still doesn't give me peace of mind thinking that cancer will always be there.

So for those who know about this ailment, any tips you can share, do's and dont's?

ako mama before naa follicular thyroid cancer bt then sad to say wala na cya medyu ulahi na ang tanan sa dhang amo nahibaw-an ug pareha nimu nag radioactive iodine sab cya pero wala nato madala iyaha kai grabe ug nikatag na ang iya cancer gi advise man to cya before nga magpa surgery sa iya head ug iya neck kai ang cancer gkan sa iya thyroid nisaka naman sa iya ulo ug didto nagtubo pero murag nawagtangan na to cya ug pag asa dala kahadlok nasad to iyaha kai edaran na daw cya basin dli daw makaya sa iya lawas kung magpa opera...

ako ma advise nimu kai kung unsa gitambag sa doctor mao buhata kung kinahanglan ka operahan pa opera jud dayun mentras sayu pa. ok man ang radioactive base sa mga pasyente nga ako na estorya sa ospital kato sge pa ug pa radioactive si mama,think positive jud ayaw sge huna huna nga naa ka cancer mamatay naka kai makasamot na sa cancer kung cge ka huna-huna ug ngil-ad nga butang maka weak na sa imu immune system then lastly, pag ampo jud sa kahitas-an nga unta everything will be okay

Thanks for the reply..and i'm sorry to hear about your loss. mas hadlok jud ang follicular kaysa papillary noh? ako, i was diagnosed when i was still 21 years old..bata pa jud au.my doctor is Dr. Marsha Tolentino of CDUH and PSH.

i've had surgery and radioactive iodine once..permi lagi makalimot sa hormone, daily and forever na pa jud. what kind of foods does she take man?

How are you? i hope you are in good condition. im sorry to tell you nga akong auntie bag-o lang namatay 1st wk of oct. tungod sa thyroid cancer. kuan to ang cause sa iyaha kanang goiter nga wla naoperha, nya k2ng dako2 na cya pra operahan na kai hollow daw ang goiter tingalig ikamatay nya ang operation kai magbleeding man cya ug magthyroid storm daw, nkadcide cla nga eopera k2 worse namn ang goiter dli pa ato gamay2 pa bah. mao 2 nicomplicate na. nya na-a pud ovarian ca kong auntie pro lain ni nga ca pud murag another primary tumor bah dli metastasis. nya DM pa gyud cya nya nagrenal failure na so ala nai pag-asa.

kong masulti kai follow lang sa doctor, epasurgery daun nah ron mawala na daun. den ampo gyud , mkatabang gyud ang prayers. tan-aw ug 700 club sa qtv or channel 2 sa sky cable na-a clai healing sessions ug catholic ka. mkatabang gyud. thank you sa info and advises...and, im sorry to hear about ur aunt itzurisen, i'm better now.no traces of cancer at all..'coz dili man halata ang Papillary CA..anyway, wow, it seems si dr. puno jud ang common drs. dah..i'll try adto niya..my nuclear med doctor is from makati med, dili man xa permi sa perpetual..and kadalihok kay ipa-RAI dayon if naa makita something sa akong neck. i'll transfer nalng cguro sa cebu doc. So far, ang effect sa akoa sa surgery and RAI due the Papillary CA is hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism..naa ra jud anang duha.hehe.

guess you need to see a specialist na jud ana.. sa st. lukes oh naa daghan didto maau na doc.. ako auntie's from HK kay mo uli jud ug pinas pra pa check up.. kay aside barato na specialista pa jud ang mo atiman nimo..
