I'm a former private server servant, a noob who learned the basics and the artisan and decided to purchased retail. My co-worker always talked about it.

I dont know how much the retail would cost and Im planning to buy my own copy of the cd. The Burning Crusade lang sah.

Well maka ingon ko na mas lingaw ang retail wow kaisa sa private server. But the downside lang kai gasto kaayo. But if you want to try it out, pwede man ka maghimo ug trial account sa battle.net. Like adto lang ka ani na link: https://us.battle.net/login/en/?ref=...pp=bam&cr=true

Then create a new account, and you can play wow for free for 10 days, get a feel of it first. I also suggest to always use your real name and address when making an account. If you feel mas lingaw mag retail, then ang keys, kung mag Pre-BC and BC keys ka kai worth around 2-4k siguro, but you get one month free game time. You can also have another 10 day free trial for Wrath of the Lich King. Then you can save later for the keys of LK and Cata. Then of course once your free game time is up, you would have to spend around 1-2k just for game time alone. An expensive hobby, but the question is are you the type of person who doesn't get bored easily with online games?

you wont be able to play WoW without the first installer jud. Burning Crusade is an expansion, so u cant get on the servers without it. maybe miguelboom forgot to mention lang.

if u want to collect the cds, u can buy WoW: Battle Chest. its a compilation of WoW Pre-BC and BC than purchase them separately. ive recently checked, Battle Chest is priced at 2000.

so all in all, mga 6000 for the installers alone. game time for 2 months is 1500.

who here still plays on retail? i play on US server sa Darkspear. im in a guild with pinoy players lang jud. hehe.

i like Cataclysm but kapoy lang usahay mag duwa WoW. and i have school, so waste of money lang kung magload ko and i wont play my toon.

ako, naa koi character sa Thaurissan. most of my friends play there. a lot of pinoys play there also.

hehe thats good... bisan unsa ka daghan sa realms sa WoW, magkita jud mga pinoys. esp if magstart na ug panglibak sa general chat, ilhan kaayo. hahaha.

Been playing it a while.. got my account years ago.

Played all classes to end game.

Private servers just don't match up.

Not to sound arrogant.. skill wise those on retail pwn the private servers.
