It's nice to be able to have a carefree weekend to spend time with the family. But, i don't think all of the homework would compromise that. There are some that actually would help out bonding with the family. For example, family tree. I remember this when I was in grade school. We were asked to make out a family tree over the weekend. So as early as 7AM in Saturday morning, me and my mom started out with interviewing my aunts and uncles, by afternoon, me and my dad went to his parent's place to look for old photos. By Sunday, we invited all of our cousins to our place for a reunion and a pictorial. Before I knew it, everyone was pitching in with the family tree homework. Took us the rest of the afternoon to put on the final touches. hehe

the idea is counter productive to the child's educational progress. i see sunday is the only family day cause moms and dads are available on this day, im pretty sure all homework will be finish before sunday. teaching the child on how to balance work and play would give them a sense of responsibility.
plus whats the used of summer vacation? kada adlaw sige duwa![]()
