We used to go to the library for research. Books Books Books! Manual ang pag suwat sa research, assignments, projects...

Karon, internet nalang, copy paste, wa nay basa2x ang estodyante. E pass sa teacher pareho2x ra ang mga printout. Samot ka brayt bag-o nga generation. Mura naman ni disarmament, tang2x rotc, samot pa bogo-on ang mga estodyante kay di na pa assignmenton sa weekend.. how nice..

in economically advanced countries school time is maximized and the parents are very much involved with the child's education.
weekends are usually spent with tutors/extra-curricular activities.
homeworks teach the value of hard work and responsibility.

It is mazing that we look at homeworks as punishment for the child.
doing homework is a time for child-parent bonding.

and yes, i rather my child be engrossed with homework than watch ABS-CBN/GMA garbage shows
or allow them to play outside the house with all the dirty open canals and improperly disposed garbage.

Government want us families to spend quality weekends?
There's no even decent park here to go to. Foreigners are laughing at us because we are all malls, no parks.
Maybe government is encouraging families to spend weekends at the mall to stir up the economy?
just my two cents worth...
