thanks for featuring the song "rain". It brought back a lot of familiar feelings. I know you guys do not know me but i was the one who wrote the lyrics of the song "rain". I wrote it in 1988 (if i remember it right) in our house in escario capitol. I already started the melody in its raw form. Roy was our drummer before he joined "40". I left my notebook full of lyrics to him and played to him the song. He brought it to the guys and they arranged the song and gave life to it. I was kinda pissed at first but later I was just happy that the song made it to the top and it touched a lot of people. I was there at local ground in Sacred Heart School when they sang it. My hair stood up when everyone sang. What can i say, i made my little contribution to Cebu's Local Music and nobody knew it. Haha! I would like to thank 40 for being a vehicle for my thoughts and feelings. Hats up to you guys. By the way, its a Christian Song for your info. I was talking to God in that song.

HALA BAI, NAOSAB NA AKONG PANAN-AW NI ROY LLANES. Abi jud nko nga siyay gasuwat sa "Rain". Kinsa diay ka bai? eacknowledge unta ka ky ikaw man diay lyricist ani. You've mentioned that it is a Christian song, how about the song entitled "Ang Saad"? That was 40's entry song for the C.E.B.U. halad sa Cebu concert.

Mao gud ni pinakanindot na song at that era, nya wala jud naapil in any of the 3 album compilations. Guys, what u think? Murag lo-oy kaayo ang 40, ky sa first 2 albums, wala jud sila naapil. Naa ry one line si Troy sa "A Song We Live" not until Mango Jam nga giapil na jud ang "What I Say".

nahala maminaw napud tag balik adtong pinakanindot na panahon sa atong kinabuhi, di ara akong hinago-an na compilation: please click this link: L O R A P A L O O Z A - THIS IS NEW CEBU MUSIC

i was under the impression that BTU started it all. - needless to say, these bands inspired the local talents.

on the side note, moving forward to the 90s - wonder what happend to BUGS and SCUM member bands.
