with my analysis, i think we have not forgotten that we are gods... it is part of learning that we should forget our true nature so that we will do our assignment here... study and learn your lesson here on this universe and for sure you will remember everything

some say the the entire universe is god, if you look at the poop. what is it?
if you look closely its just energy, everything in the universe is just energy.

i'm a student of a mystical school, our teachers and masters have reached the consciousness of God and they always tell us students to claim our birth right that we are sons and daughters of God which make us princes and princesses of this universe... they don't tell us to believe them but rather teach us to reach what they have reached, to experience what they have experienced

before you can reach the doors of these mystical schools, you must have a well balance bad and good karmas (should have more good karmas than bad karmas) which means you have learned your lessons well and have done your assignments in this universe.
