There's no such thing as for elite only station nowadays. If there is, that station should be playing music from Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Jellyfish, The XX, T play mahhe Love Language, Dylan LeBlanc, Moby, etc... (the "for high end/elite society station" now belongs to satellite radio and podcasts)

Anyway im also a lover of good pop music. i love indie and country and alt.country and folk and power pop but in the end all i care about is good music may it be Radiohead or Wilco or Hank Williams or Miles Davis or Derek Webb.

Regarding the Smooth FM playlist, yes i love it thAT majority of their playlists are popular rock and what was known as alternative (which is no longer alternative in todays era) and guitar based pop. Yes i have no problem with these modern guitar based quasi-power pop sounds of youngsters like Jonas Brothers, Boys Like Girls and Demi Lovato (all are played on Smooth FM).

But i have a big problem with the inclusion of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Iyaz, and the likes. I just don't get it. Instead of including some of these garbage pseudo-rnb pop in it why not put some real r'nb instead(rhythm and blues with real bass and real drums)? Anthony Hamilton, Joss Stone, Sharon Jones, Angie Stone, Eryka Baduh, etc...

Plus i would also like to suggest they put some indie, alt.country, pop country, folk, and power pop in the mix
