Wooh, if I know you'd rather walk around than gas up sa imong katihik. Walker man gani imong nickname dre. Palit nalng ug spartan sa imong walking sessions kay dli man gyud ka maghelmet kaha? At least mas economical and healthy pa kung mag walk ka dba?

thanks to those who posted sensible response.

thanks also for those who gave free lessons in Insult 101. grow up kiddos.

this Law is nevertheless a law...some blots of ink on a piece of paper. yet it will affect not just me, but a whole lot more.

most of the reactors in fact, do not understand, or refuse to understand, or just plainly lack the capacity for understanding how this law ridiculously applies penalty for such a plain of case of wearing a slipper!

way but-anay lang gud. mag slipper ko, manuyo diay mo?

how weird is Revilla's Law.... wearing a slipper while driving carries a heavier fine (1500) than parking in a no parking zone (50).. in dumaguete city. but to most reactors here, that is perfectly sensible...
(which i hope is not the case)

unya nangayo pa gyud ka ug supporta in a cebu based forums (murag di gyud mahitabo kay lain ang culture sa cebuanos, dinhi raka kita ug mga jeepney driver nga naay infrared vision kay dili gyud mag headlight maski tunga sa gabii ^_^ )

ug sa thread title palang daan, murag outrageous man gud kaayo basahon.

if the title was like "the new helmet law of sen. bong revilla, do you agree?" basig mas calm reactions pa siguro ang mga replies sa mga fellow istoryans.

    peace.

^^m.post na sad unta ko ana regarding the title.

If you wanted a discussion in the first place, you should have put a neutral thread title, because you don't know what's the other forumers' stand on this, you just can't barge in and shout "boycott!", right? Of course, kontrahon jd na, who would want to symphatize with someone who is against a law for safety, and one more thing, try to post more on your opening statement and explain thoroughly why you boycott it, and from your opening posts, I don't think those were reasons enough to boycott this law. 4500 is reasonable enough to draw a thick line between life and death.

Still, wala man gihapon kay dag.anan ani, kay the sole purpose of this law is not only for your safety but also for others. Like sa isa na nagpost dri, your freedom to choose/freewill ends when you violate others' right to live (or safety), ie. You can always choose to fire a gun, wala man nagpugong nimo na ayaw, you can even fire it to yourself, there's no problem with that. But it can also kill others that's why there is a law for that. You can always choose not to wear a helmet, pwede nimo ibangga imo motor sa pader, you can always do that, but if mamatay ka what happens to your family? That's why there is a law for that, the Helmet Law, to draw a thick line between life and death.

this is rather off topic ha. basically istorya is an internet public forum. my understanding with an internet forum is that there are no geographical boundaries anymore. ethnic maybe, but i assumed too much. in the world of the internet..the base is simply the world.

i belong to other forums that discuss other topics, and we never say, "oh sorry but this is a geneva based forum..blah blah.." in fact i am much welcomed being one of asian origin expressing my opinion.

yeah..peace. suroy nya sa dumaguete bro.. october is buglasan festival.

yes this is true TS, it is a public forum, but mostly ang registered diri ky cebuanos, so ang reply sa mga tawo is basing on the experiences nila here in cebu regarding the topic, and as u know, dugay na nga balaod ang helmet law diri so d na ni bag-0 sa mga tawo.. anyway, i bet that if you will start a thread with the same topic in a public forum wherein mostly taga dumaguete ang naka register, im pretty sure the comments and or reactions of the people will be the opposite of what has been mostly written here.

OT: ayay hapit na pista dmgte TS..magpa pista mo? mamista nya ko! hehehe

based on the responses, dili na kinahanglan gani ug law. nag usik usik ra si revilla pasar ug law nga very willing na man ang mga tawo mag suot ug helmet oi.

perhaps, this law is intended for dumaguete motorcyle riding public. revilla just can not comprehend ngano ang taga dumaguete maski dili maghelmet, gamay ra ug statistics compared sa ubang cities, despite our being the motorcycle capital of the country.

OT: i hope to be back home puhon bro. bitaw hapit na pista.. starting with Buglasan..pista..pasko..its party time in dumaguete... parehas ta bro..tig pamista ra pud ko... haha
katultol ra ba ko sa inyo ...haha

in fact before gma signed this into law, the dumaguete city council filed a case against this implementation. it used to be an administrative order pa man sa una. so we just feel slighted gyud ani.
