If I remember correctly, before naa na policy ang cebu pacific nga if paid online using credit card, then ang owner sa credit card kay dili kuyog sa flight, before maka-checkin, mangayo ang cebu pac ug photocopy sa credit card and two valid id's sa owner sa credit card...this happend sa akong cousins on their way to manila, they used my mom's cc, nya dili man kuyog akong mom, si gipangayo-an sila ana...unya kay wala man sila kadala, wala sila gi-allow sa cebu pac nga mu-board unless mupalit sila lain ticket gyud which is way more expensive than the one they booked online...fortunately naa mi kaila nagwork sa cebu pac at that time, siya ang ni attest nga related ra ang passemger ug owner sa credit card...that's why everytime mularga ko, magdala ko copy sa cc sa akong mom ug copy sa iyang valid id's...nahunong na diay na karon...tsk tsk

Mao. PAL and Cebu Pacific have this policy of checking ID and CC upon checking in at the airport. Pero in this case, 11 ka tao nakalusot sa ila sa airport? Wala man lang gi check ang photocopy sa CC?

    Basig naay inside job ani?

Wala man na-hunong, it's still what I do everytime I fly back to Cebu. But it's not the point, kay regardless of whether those people who booked tickets were able to take the flights or not, ang pa-bayron gihapon sa ticket is the one whose name appears on the credit card. If wala gi-sugtan to mga tawhana mu-larga, then it can be used as evidence by the credit card owner to show nga he is not in connivance with those tricksters.

(I don't know to what lengths Cebu Pacific or PAL try to verify the photocopies though...with the wonders of photo shop, basig naka-print to sila ug inedit na credit card. The fact nga pila sila kabuok tao nga nag-book, it's safe to say those people knew what they were doing so ila gyud siguro to na-take note ang serial nos. and other important info sa card. Ang kuyaw kung gamiton pa ug usab for other transactions, so ang pinaka-maayo buhaton kay ipa-cancel or kung kinahanglanon gyud nga naay credit card, report the case and ask for another one.)

i used my bf's cc when i booked a flight w/ Cebu Pacific last July for Singapore. i was not asked by the check-in personnel for the photocopy of my bf's cc. so i think they already stopped implementing this anti fraud policy.
