but i think id feel pretty stupid if i attended any of those classes bringing with me my point and shoot when everone else is toting their expensive slr/dslrs. hehe

nearly everyone I taught came into my study group with either a point and shoot... or no camera at all.
they later moved up to a dSLR when they felt a need for it.

kung slr/dslr imo gamit, makita nmo like that jd ang pix from the optical viewfinder when you change the settings to night shots/low light?

actually, nearly all cameras embed the setting digitally into the file of each shot you take... you can see it by viewing the exif information

well there is really a learning curve on getting it right but that's part of the fun!

I'm still learning also the learning curve makes for one hell of a ride

You have to consider something too... you buy an SLR camera in a budget, purpose? mainly because of functionality and INTERCHANGABLE LENSES... Olympus lenses are a bit pricey though... and hard to find.. we can order but, you will have to wait til it arrives... and nihit pud ang 3rd party...

with Canon and nikon, dali ra ta maka order sa lenses... a lot of 3rd party brands too...
