unsa ni, aircon? Oventoaster? . grabiha pud anang 500watts ,naa man gani 1000 watts na PSU. Sa una naka remember pa ko naay mga PSU na 50 watts og 100 watts sa 1990s. I cant beleive they sacrificed power efficiency for the sake of processing power. mao tawn mag laptop nalang ta. Grabi pud anang 500watts, ma pordoy man ta ana sig bayad sa VECO. grabi, video card nalang daan 60 watts na. mag sugba nalang ta og isda sa CPU para ma sulit ang gasto.

Can any of those old desktops you mention do more than 6 Teraflops of graphics processing power?

FYI, you can still make PCs today that are super efficient. it depends on your components but don't expect them to perform as those that are more power hungry.

yezzir. ang rated efficiency will determine your off the wall wattage.

ie. you have a 80% psu and you added up all the component in your pc (gpu, cpu, mobo, fans, hdd, soundcard, ram, etc.) and the total is around 300w. That 300w the result of the 80% efficiency rating meaning you are actually using 375w on your outlet (375w x 80% = 300w). Take note that the efficiency rating of your psu will vary across different loads. from what i understand, the most inefficient is when you are using less than 25% of the rated max wattage. not sure if it's actually 25% but it's around that number. anyone know the actual number please post.

it doesnt mean that if you have a 500watts power supply automatic na 500watts ang konsumo sa pc mo...
