we try an i7 860 @ 3.6 GHz + HD 5870 wala man gani problem na perti nana kadako sa wattage almost peak power nana sa ST50F-230 ok raman gani siya.

    hmmm
it cant be the system bro because even the 400w silverstone and thermaltake is more than enough for the system. mao ni ang specs
    pentium dual core e2140 - e5400, c2de6600, c2de6750
    ecs g31t
    kingston 1gb pc800
    ati x1650, ati 3650, ati 4650, geforce 9500gt
    seagate 250gb
    5 pcs 120mm fans

a true rated 300w psu is enough to power the system except sa c2d.

dili sa tanan higayon ang cause na mo fail ang mga PSU is because overloaded sya or anything on its output...pirmi ta muingon na more than enough kay mao ra ni ang load blah blah blah.. havent u learned sa ino physics na it takes a lot more force to make an object move than to keep it moving?) lost contact for 1 is a cause of more current pull than normal...

sometimes dirty and unstable power source/outlet also causes malfunctioning of the input/primary circuitry of PSU.

i cant blame other factors other than the design or the components used in the st50f coz them same variables are applied to my other brand. atleast 1 of my other psu's should have failed if that's the case. its very unlikely nga na timingan ra ang 6 out 0f 8 na the same model.

like what i have said before.... the older ST50F (take note, no -230 or -ES) specifically v1.0 has this well known problem and has been recalled for replacement. u should had had them replaced before the others would give the same problem. 6 of 8 na gud na, syaro wa ka maka realise na problematic ni na product maghuwat pa ka other will die-out on u and hurt your business?

the first 2 replacements were still v1 st50f's and i think those replacements were also the ones replaced again. but im not concerned about those v1 anymore, im more concerned with the v3 coz the problem occured even with v3. but anyway, i dont think of the present only bro, i also think of the future and is ready for any breakdown. i have a spare hipro psu and 3 spare harddrives so anytime a powersupply breaks down, i directly replace it with my spare and have a minimum downtime. im more of a business minded also now a days thats why i dont gamble with parts or brands that are not truly tested reliable. its also the reason why i dont jump to a bandwagon that easily even though some people said its faster or better. once the client is satisfied with the performance, i think lesser on the performance side and give more weight on the reliability and stability side.
