I am now in Vietnam.. more than a month na..
Hey.. nindot ang vietnam oi..barato pajud..nya lami mga pagkaon..plus anywhere i go... libre ra ang tea (ice tea, hot tea, etc basta tea.. but ingon sila diri ra kuno ni sa saigon hinoon).
its true.. daghan kaau tourist diri (mostly mga puti) pero daghan pud asian altho di lang maklaro kay preha2 ra ug dagway..
night life diri ok pud kaau.. pero lisud lang ug mocheck.in ang foreigner kuyog ug vietnamese kay dili allowed.. hahaha
pero daghan au wafa diri.. gi.pang.uran ra diri ang mga artistahon ug dagway... problema kay gamay (as in gamay ra jud) kaau kahibawo ininglis.. ug moagawas ko or mokaon.. senyas ra jud or tudlo2.. usahay.. memorize gamay word aron makaorder..
usik kaau para nako.. daghan ko nameet mga guapa kaau.. pero way tingganay kay dili kamao english.. hahaha
malingaw jud mo ug moarri mo vietnam.. samot ug laagan mo.. traffic lang sad kaau.. nya morag mga lamigas ang motorsiklo diri..
in fairnes.. daghan kasuroyan,., wa pa nako mahurot akong list (bars and tourist spots).. and to think naa rako sa usa ka city nila ha...
so far, two thumbs up ko diri!!!!

food is affordable except some imported goodies though they seem to have more imported stuff than we have here. medicines are affordable too. fruits are abundant and inexpensive. the locals are friendly and smiling -- just dont let them hear 'no good' during an interaction kay tubagon gyud nila ug 'go away' 

for those with sensitive sense of smell, better if you bring vicks or something esp if ur in the domestic airport.
