Frustrating experience with shops here trying to buy an expresscard for my laptop...

I again went today out trying to purchase an ExpressCard for my laptop (HP brand).
I went to SM, walked into every single computer shop there, even HP, none sell what I need.
It like they only want to sell you laptops, and you should not expect to get any accessories for it...
The local shops are very disappointing. Not a single shop even asked me if it would be ok to order the card. They are not interested to sell accessories, just overpriced laptops.

I was looking for an expresscard/34 or /54 to serial DB9. But I got my card, from a friendly seller in Hong Kong.

But the point here is, they sell you the laptop, telling you that it has also expresscard slot so you can expand the functionality bla bla bla, but you cant even buy an expresscard here

I am just disappointed about their interest to help. They are not even trying to order the part you want.

But its not just about laptops, its just about everything they are selling.
Last week, I went into PC Quickbuys to get 25m CAT5 and told them I need it crimped. Guess what... "Sorry, we don't have a crimping tool"... Can you believe that? And it goes on like that with just everything.

@softtouch - ouch, that's a bit hard to find here. you'd have better luck with ebay and other online stores.

i was there last last weekend asking for prices on motherboards and video cards and i had hard time finding one.

i don't believe they don't have a crimping tool... maybe its just what really they are....
if they really want to help you, they can use the crimping tool in the display stand the they're selling..
