on the nvidia control panel enable the sli mode.
32bit/64 os don't matter on GPU's.
You got a sammy there. Mao na katong ginabaligya ni mil?

hi erick, i beg to disagree. read:
Virtual address space usage in Windows Vista game development
i'll quote a line that will serve as an indirect example to my previous statement - not taken out of context. given that majority of us are running windows operating system, this document would be a good source since it is applicable and it is coming from the source (ala matrix)
this is just one example on how the graphics card (video memory specifically) has a role when it comes to system architecture, there are other examples out there - wala lang na bookmark and i'm too lazy to look for it.A modern graphics processing unit (GPU) can have 512 MB or more of video memory. Applications that try to take advantage of such large amounts of video memory can use a large proportion of their virtual address space for an in-memory copy of their video resources. On 32-bit systems, such applications may consume all the available virtual address space.

how to enable dual gpu on GTA IV?
hinay gihapon ang gameplay sa akong GTA IV gamit og gtx295
like everyone is saying....it's normal for gpu-z to show only 896MB.If you notice on the lower left on the GPU-Z window you will see a drop down box and if you click on the arrow you will see 2 "NVDIA GeForce GTX 295". It'a a dual GPU card so it's only showing you memory for the individual card but if you add them up you will get 1792MB.
Btw, do you have the latest patch for the GTA 4? I'm not a big fan of gta 4 but I read somewhere that earlier releases does not utilize SLI but were promised that future patches will take care of the problem. Or the obvious...do you have the latest driver for the gtx 295? i think the latest is 258.96
Not guaranteed to work but try this:
open note pad and put these command lines in it , -availablevidmem 1.3 -nomemrestrict -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100 -texturequality 2 -shadowdensity 16 -renderquality 4 -viewdistance 99 -detailquality 99 -vehicledensity 99 ,with the availablevidmem if you get stuttering turn it down to 1.2 or 1.1 )
(1.0 = 512mb vid ram 2.0 = 1gb vid ram ) once you have put them in save the note pad file as commandline.txt , then put it in your main gta4 install directory (were gta4 is installed)

naa koi nakit.an nga video gamit og duha ka 8800GT gi SLI mas kusog iyang GTA4 kay sa akong GTX295.
ambot gi unsa to niya ngano naka dual gpu sya sa GTA4.
naa pud ko lain question...
akong gi ingon ani akong gtx295 kay wala man koi 8pins connector sa akong psu.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
ok raba ni?
dili ba ma underpower akong video card?
looya sa imong card bro...hehehe
GTX 295 is a high-end part and should also deserved a high-end PSU.
yep, lisod nang imong gibuhat... get a real psu kawawa naman yan.
pold salamat sa info. btw 3.2gb ang limit sa 32bit not 2gb
sa akoa experience man gud wala man gud difference kung gamit ko ug 32/64 bit.
nangutana ko ana na games with your specs...
upgrade your mems to at least 4gb para 64bit ka. Tapos cpu intensive daw ang gta4 so you need to crank your OC (2.67ghz stock) try to OC that to 3.6ghz. Bottleneck kaayo ka diha.
wow gettoh mod.. =) pero brad just to be safe try to look for an 8pin extension/ 8pin - molex connector sa katong mga naay gtx295 na wala nila gamita. hope that helps.
