The only advantage that intel had over AMD was their 512k of cache.... with the Bartons having the same cache as Intel now, AMD is the clear winner....

i dont think so. pentium 4 is running on 533fsb as compared to athlon xp which is on 333fsb. the the barton3000+ is being outperformed by the p4 3000 and now intel is going to lower the price of p4 to the same price as that of the barton. initial benchmarks indicate the p4 better than the barton.

Bartons PR is over rated IMHO. i dont know whats holding intel back from lowering their prices to AMD levels. they own more than 80% of the CPU market (intel/amd)

they already anounced that they are going to lower their p4 3000+ to compete directly with amd's barton 3000+. in fact the price here in singapore of an amd xp 2200+ and above (boxed version) are almost the same to those of the same clock speed of those 533fsb p4 2 ghz and above (difference of about S$5.00 which is roughly Peso 150.00 in favor of amd).

ngano ingon ana naman? i thought dat AMD was competitive before coz theyre seeling their unit at lower prices than Intel counterparts... pero karon almost level na ila price... how would AMD rule here when people only know of INTEL IMHO!!!

AMD processors above 2200+ here in asia are expensive... i dont know y?...

mao gyud crash... nindot raba gyud ang experience nako sa AMD, especially gaming.. pero kun ingon ana ang iya price, mapugos ko ug encourage sa ako frends na to go INTEL kay tungod sa availability ug well known gyud.....
