my set up is intel pd 805 on ecs 945gm3 with 2 pqi 512mb ddr2 and sparkle 6600 video card and i havent encountered any problem. i'm satified with its performance. i even tried to open brothers in arms (earned in blood) and codenameanzers simultaneously and both run smoothly.
better change your board bro to a 945 chipset. i also tried before asus p5vd1 on intel pentium d 805 and it was really slow. it performs the same as my p4 1.8ghz. it detects 2 processors but you will only see 1 processor working in the task manager unlike the 945 chipset where u can see two processors working.
ah, so maka contribute pudiay ug pagkahinay ang mobo no? abi nako ang specs u nid to look for a mobo is only the fsb, vc slot, and the memory slots. apil pudiay na ang chipset. di pudko kbalo unsa nang chipset and how to look for it. heheheh.. mahilig ko ani pc... im not a beginner pero im not an expert pud. heheh..
nice pud ang reviews aning ecs 945gm3 http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/ECS/index.htm
bai lisod kaayo kung NBA live ra ang basian sa performance, mas nindot unta overall gyud kay games are not always 100% compatible with all hardware and that includes a motherboard also.
isa pa..dili man pasington sa NBA live ang imo PC..its not a good basis..malay nimo driver problem ra na
i think sa mobo gyud na nga problem kanang hinay nga performance sa dual core kay parehas pud ko ni whoopz b4, nagsige og balik sa tindahan kay mas ok pa ang performance sa akong p4 1.8ghz. first mobo i used was intel 101ggcl ati chipset. and to my surprise, it has only 700+ on 3dmark 2003 utilizing its x200 onboard video; my p4 1.8ghz on jetway 9600se has 1800+(overclocked to 2.0ghz will give an almost 2000 score) and my friend's pc with 2.6ghz on ecs rs400 ati chipset, dual channel ddr2, utilizing the x200 built in video has 1700+
next board i used was the asus p5vd1-x with via pt880 ulltra chipset and using my jetway 9600se has a 3dmark 2003 score of only 1900+, even if it has the latest driver from ati. i also noticed that it boots slowly and performs just like my p4 1.8ghz. but when i changed the mobo to ecs 945gm3, things went good at last. it boots fast specially if you're only using the built in video. i'm surprised when using the built in video because it only gets a maximum of 8mb (instead of 64mb,128mb or 256mb like the intel 101ggcl) of your ram and its enough to run gta san andreas, nfs2 and half life2. it even has smoother graphics compared to my jetway 9600se. it's draw back is that it cant support bothers in arms earned in blood and codenameanzers
ahuh?! so it's not the processor... something else is causing the system to slow down...Originally Posted by whoopz

Chipset is the most important thing....
Since Intel ang imong proc, mas maayo kung Intel ang chipset.
