pwede sad bro, according to tomshardware.com, the core i3 530 is a good processor for gaming... but the quad core Q8300 seems to have a better gaming performance compared to the i3... and just what sempron guy said earlier, the Q8300 is based on old LGA775 platform so kung intel jud ang gusto... better ang core i3...
Very informative thread. It deserves to be sticky. Hope other istoryan experts and thread starter update this thread regularly to help out noob user's building their rig fit for their needs and budget.
@acronis: the older quads have 4 physical cores compared to 2 cores of the i3. physical cores > logical. That's y the older quads are better performing than the i3s. the i3s are perfect for laptops imo since they sip power.
@pow3rmov3: yeah, better bitaw sa gaming and muarg mas expensive sad ang older quads compared sa cheapest i3s.... so depende sad lage sa budget... hehehe..
@acronis: yep2x sakto ka bay. that's why i keep preaching amd kay ang mga intel quads are more expensive and old tech pa. similar ang perf sa amd and since they are newer than the intel quads, they are more efficient. also, an amd x3 with L3 cache is actually the perfect budget cpu to get imo. Many articles confirm that 3 cores is the optimized cpu usage of current games. the i5-750 from intel on the other hand, is where intel starts taking recommendations for value + performance. That being said, the i3 are really good but they are more expensive than their amd counterparts nya paripariho lang performance.
Will sticky once we get enough votes. Also, only if OP will update this frequently![]()
