I wouldn't trust a generic psu powering the 9800GT even if its the green edition. So better put a disclaimer to upgrade the psu asap.

    Casual Playa

The Core i3 cost within the already aging Core 2 Duo's price range. Budget H55 mobos are plummeting down below 4k. Value DDR3 ram cost almost the same if not cheaper than DDR2. It would be wise to spend on new tech, new features, its faster, and more power efficient for almost the same price. It's tolerable to settle for a single 2GB ram module for the meantime and spend the extra for the mobo and procie.

    Gaymen Rig

Intel is drawing out support for LGA775. There are better offering in the AMD camp if the number of cores matter. Triple core cpus are within the 4k range, athlon x4s at 5k+. Plus new socket support. A lot of cheap AM3 mobos within 4k. Makes upgrading later a lot easier. If mo insist jud ug Intel, the Core i3 is a good choice. Dual core lang but if pang gaming, mas dako jud ika-contribute if you have a fast card and opt for DDR3 mems instead of DDR2

The Junior Playa' is a low-end gaming rig. You can play legacy and previous generation
games without a sweat, and the latest games with a few eye candy disabled. This is just
the Recession Rig stuffed with a beefier RAM and GPU.
    [spoiler]
    Processor: Athlon II X2 240 @ 2595
This is a no-brainer. The 240 is probably the best processor you can buy @ 2.5k.
At this price point, you won't be rendering 1080p videos or editing 4k vids.

But then again, you can enjoy the merits of having a procie with more than 1 core.

    Motherboard: ECS A740GM-A @ 1995
This board is packed up with the necessities you should see in a budget/entry-level board.

You can see a brief review here.

    GPU: Palit 9800GT Green Edition 512MB @ 4095
This is the Green Edition of the 9800GT as manufactured by Palit. If I am not mistaken, it does not require
    any external power source.

    RAM: Kingston Value 2GB DDR2 800 @ 2050
The only RAM you can buy to fit within the 15k price range and still pack a punch for the said segment.

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB @ 1795
It is unreasonable to recommend a 250GB or 160GB HDD when they differ only by a hundred pesos.
WD is just a personal preference, a Seagate Drive is fine too.

    ODD: Any dual-layer DVD drive @ 1000
    'nuff said.

Casing: Any generic casing @ 1300
    'nuff said.

    PSU: Included in the casing
    'nuff said.
DISCLAIMER: getting a decent PSU is recommended. (cheapest @ 2-3k)

    TOTAL: ~Php 14830.00

    Alternatives: Intel E5300; Asus P5KPL-AM.
Sir how about Athlon II X2 250? And a GF210 512ddr3 64bit vga? Compatible ra siya sa mobo?

i would go AMD solution on everything imo. you'd get better performance compared to the intel solutions at the price point. Proc such as the amd x4 640/635, x3 720/740BE, x4 950 etc should perform better than the similarly priced (or cheaper than the intels even) core i3 cpus out there.

And for the hard drive, get the magnificent Samsung Spinpoint F3s. They are cheaper and faster than the caviar blacks. They even beat raptors in certain applications. the hd103sj 1TB (i even got 4 of these) should be around 3.5k. The 500g version should be around 2k.

+1 to personalmgt. choosing the right motherboard is essential and for me the hardest to choose among all components when making any pc.

This should be a sticky! Its a nice guide for people not knowing what to get for their budget. Or could I suggest on a guide by PC components and not the entire PC set. Like the ones in Tomshardware.com
Best Gaming CPUs For The Money: July 2010 : July Updates

So we could have a monthly guide, for example, "Best Video Cards for the month of July" and then show the best video cards according to their price range.

Problema lng kinsa mo update ani monthly... hahaha!!!
