which is better canon 50mm 1.8 or 1.4

3 yrs na akong 1.8... okey pa gihapon kaayo 2.2-2.8 ako gamit pirmi. plastic cya pero okey ra mn. ang quality sa photo okey kaayo murag "L" hehehe ampingan lng sd nimo og maayo para di pud dayun maguba. pero kung naa ky kwarta pag 1.4 lng para mo last pud og dugay2x

naa na man diay ka 1.8... if imo na i.amping ug maayo ang imo 1.8 it would last very long.. IMO instead of upgrading to a 1.4 i think better nalng ka if mo invest ka ug other lens.. maybe a 85 or a 100 micro

but if you already have the 1.8, no sense in buying the 1.4, ako direcho man ko palit sa 1.4 so wala jud mahay, but sold it and then naa nako 85mm 1.8, very nice lens indeed very sharp wide open, wala pod mahay...hehehe

If ako ang papilion, I'll go with the f/1.4 but of course with the enough resources.
And Sir Aguel is right, naa gyuy sweet spot ang mga lens 2-3 stops gikan sa iyang widest opening.
But i suggest you will consider the 85mm F/1.8 sa imung choices, it is a bang for your buck instead of the 50mm F/1.4 .

what i meant sa ako previous simple post is... why limit your choice between the two when you can have three...

50mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.2... syempre adto ko sa 50mm f/1.2 (kana kung naa ko kwarta and Canon user ko...)
