Here's a photo refference i took:
The 160gb IDE HDD, showing the pin connectors-
The 160gb IDE & 200gb IDE (the 200gb IDE is the one attached to the open enclosure)-
My Computer page showing the 200gb IDE detected by my notebook (shown as herphermits_2(G, with screenshot of the Computer Management page, as what francoise07 suggested i checked )-
My Computer page, this time with the 160gb IDE attached to the enclosure. And not being detected by my notebook (also with a screenshot of the Computer Management page showing the 160gb IDE HDD not being detected)-
@ dexterdal - i don't see any jumper in my 160gb IDE connector pins
@ bankilan - i did as what you instructed, without any result

" plz give a hand..anyone?"
it will be much easier and time saving if you just go to pcex and let someone look at it.
kay basin musamot na ang problema kong imo ayoayohon man dili kau ka kabalo.
bai basin na wala ang jumper sa imo 160gig kay mao mani ang settings sa IDE seagate
seagate hard disk jumpers unplugged
wala kay desktop computer? or sa amigo nimo nga pwede masulayn? mas maau if masulayan sa computer, if wala ghapon possible faulty ang hdd.
bring your drive to your friend nga naay desktop and try to plug it directly sa ide cable to your mobo's ide port and see if your bios can recognize your harddrive......
well there's your problem... you don't have the jumper there...
set it to SLAVE and that should fix your problem...
As you suggested i do:
I have already tried to set the 160gb IDE drive to slave mode (i assume this would be the normal setting for an externa HDD). As what the illustration shows, setting the IDE HDD to slave mode setting requires to have no jumpers on the connector pins. Tried it this way and it doesn't work.
Tried it with the jumpers on the connector pins set to master settings and whaddayaknow, IT BLOODY WORKED! YES!!!![]()
