I can think of the following:
1) Buy less - this will decrease production, which decreases the use of power to manufacture a lot of things we don't really need anyway.
2) Redirect the unused mfg assets to the process of recycling : example use recycled textile from used clothes. It shortens the manufacturing process but keeps people employed.
3) Garden - big or small space, we need to have more plants to clear our polluted air.
4) Eat less meat - "meat industry generates nearly one-fifth of the man-made greenhouse gas emissions that are accelerating climate change worldwide . . . far more than transportation.
