im sure your freezer won't smell as long as the container youre using is sealed. but the container will smell for sure with mice poop and urine.

I don't recommend washing the mouse prior to packing since it washes away the odor that snakes look for in a prey. the stronger the odor of the mouse the better for the snake's feeding response. thats just base on my experience.
