I am looking for a minimum specs NEW home pc for:

surfing and browsing (multi-tabs researching on Firefox, Opera or Chrome...and posting at Istorya),
email (Thunderbird),
chat (YM mostly),
webcam (Skype),
movies (VLC),
music (MediaPlayer),
low end graphics editing (Paint or Irfanview)

and stuffs like that. Any suggestions please?

5k to 7k ra tingali bro...ambot not so sure. havent been updated lately. i think i can still use my old crt monitor for the time being.

mao jud, an atom 330 or D510 set up can already serve you. Its what I am using. Its dual core with 4 threads and 64bit capable. I use this set up for browsing, outlook, webcam, YM, Photoshop, corel draw and torrent rig, can play 720p movies as well.

i disagree since my purpose is to discus hardware config...let the mods decide. buy/sell/trade is secondary...patabang ra man ko kay di kaau ko suheto sa hardware.

have a look at buy and sell section brad..there are sellers there who sell their brand new and used cpu's for a cheap price..

I agree with that bro.. What was high-end yesterday is now on the lower end by today's standards. Anyway, with that budget, you might be able to get yourself an Intel Atom set-up, or even an AMD Sepron setup if you use some of the parts that are still working from your old PC..
