From a point of singularity, the universe started from a hot dense state. Suddenly an explosion occurred. The universe then started to expand, forming heavenly bodies.

But since it is continually expanding, time will come that solar systems and galaxies will drift farther away from each other. The sun's gases will eventually be exhausted. Energy will be dissapated. The universe will be a cold, dead place...

I my opinion science and religion are one , it's like science and mathematics, they have been integrated by humans in different languages, humans are made by the image and likeness of God, that means we have the power to use our brains to explore the beauty of GOD's creation.. Atoms is not the smallest creation of God but the God itself... Atoms are made up of energy, Energy cannot be created nor destroyed that is discovered by some scientist in the past and that is the Law of nature.. and law of nature is created by God. God cannot be created nor destroyed.. Energy is Forever and Ever be.. God is Forever and ever be... As Albert Einstine says " Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." .. we need Good Energy to Live that means we need GOD to live Forever..that means only God has the Energy to end...God has already given us the signs and clue to live in his kingdom and yet to many are blind... ( hurot na akong english ).. ari lang sa ta kutob mga bro..

@diatabz ... when someone falls and hits his head on the rock, sure that is human error. That is nature at work. There is nothing natural about a high speed crash. I am not arguing that science has helped human kind. I am not defending an idiot's right to kill himself. What I am saying is that science has open totally brand new ways to kill ourselves, and it's not just fatal instant deaths. Heart disease is the biggest killer in the US ... the same science used by US food policy to make food cheap and abundant in the US is also the cause of the nation's biggest health crisis.
C'mon, science has improved (vastly, if i may add) our lives in general. Disasters by science (and people) are minor. And it has more to do with people than science. And do you really think heart disease is caused by science? How so? Food? Even in developing countries and even in Africa....heart disease is one of the leading cause of death (top 5 to top 1, depends)

Just so you know....Death by heart disease is just inflated (in developed countries) because the people there are getting healthier/older because heart disease is in general a disease that afflicts the old or caused by old age. Food has little to do with that (unless you really really get obese [500 pound], which is rare). Genetics/old age is the main cause, not food or science. As opposed in Africa, they tend to die from HIV (rather from heart) because HIV affects you at any age so you die from HIV before you die from heart. So you drew the wrong conclusions from your data.

Here are the data relevant to my point: From wikipedia:

Humans by Era| Average Lifespan at Birth

    Upper Paleolithic 33
    Neolithic 20
Bronze Age and Iron Age 35+
    Classical Greece 28
    Classical Rome 28
    Pre-Columbian North America 25-30
    Medieval Islamic Caliphate 35+
    Medieval Britain 30
    Early Modern Britain 40+
    Early 20th Century 30-45
Current world average 67.2 2010 est.

Did you see the jump from 20th century? It doubled. And it's caused by a huge reduction in infant mortality rate thanks to hospitals and health care/science.

Life expectancy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Causes of death in developing countries Number of deaths

    HIV-AIDS 2,678,000
    Lower respiratory infections 2,643,000
    Ischaemic heart disease 2,484,000
    Diarrhea 1,793,000

Causes of death in developed countries | Number of deaths (year 2001)

    Ischaemic heart disease 3,512,000
    Cerebrovascular disease 3,346,000
    Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 1,829,000
    Lower respiratory infections 1,180,000
