Install the Windows Recovery Console first, then reboot your computer with the Windows CD inside. Have your PC boot with the Windows CD and go into the Recovery Console. Once you're in the Recovery Console, type in "CHKDSK /F". This command forces the Windows to do a check disk and fix the errors on the hard drive. Hopefully, this might do the trick.

Is the unit company-owned? I mean not personal? Anyways, i suspect that the power interruption corrupted your hard disk. Were you doing something else aside from browsing the Internet when it happened?

Data corruption is an error in data that occurs during transmission, retrieval, or processing, introducing unintended changes to the original data. By your case, the power interruption caused an unintentional change to your hard disk. Probably, some windows system file was affected or maybe your main index file. Normally, if this is the case a check disk operation can correct this error.

Btw, does your unit have a diskette drive?

    a little trick.

:turn off your pc and unplug from the power outlet then open your side panel to reveal whats inside your cpu.
:try to transfer your ram to the other free slot, if your memory slot is already populated remove the other one. then turn it on.
: if the problem is still there reset the BOIS.
: and if the problem still persist contact a certified computer technician nearest you.
