Hubble catches planet being devoured by its star

although Hubble have had some spectacular images in the past though.

Hubble has indeed produced spectacular images of planets, moons and asteroids within the solar system, and nebulae/galaxies outside the solar system. This is a YES.

But has Hubble shown us detailed surface/clouds of planets in other star systems, interactions of these planets with their stars, or moons of other exo-planets? NO.

Actually two things can happen to a star. The yellow star stage is the last stage before the star becomes a red giant, and then it either becomes a white dwarf or a supernova. If a star has insufficient mass to become a supernova, it shrinks to a white dwarf.
