this is a fact, yes... however, are you saying the abnoy had more media coverage than MV?

No. And if there is any sort of measurement to compare each candidate's airtime, I haven't seen it.

But say hypothetically Villar had more media coverage- does that really disqualify Aquino from scrutiny since he's had less airtime?

No it doesn't but whose boiling Aquino here anyway? The point here is that it doesn't necessary follow that if a candidate has more media coverage, he will have more votes.

If I'm not mistaken, this has been the case before (I'm not sure about this). Regardless, given the outcome of our most recent national election, it's a fact that the media doesn't dictate the votes of most Filipinos anymore. If it did, then MV would have been on Aquino's place now.

given the circumstance, its a better outcome than another 6 years of plundering. don' you think so?

also people, I don't think we are politically mature yet however, we have moved to the better - at least beyond what the media can dictate...

OT: please don't take me as someone who voted for abnoy. I waited whole day and night with my crying son just to vote for GORDON-BAYANI... no better candidate although our voters can't get pass the last name of Aquino yet but the election is over and its time to rally behind whoever leads us for the betterment of everyone. Let's not forget to be thankful we're not going to be led by a plunderer.

You're not even sure about it. Of course it doesn't follow, and it certainly isn't the case before (remember FPJ)?

    My point is:
    (1) The author of that article is somehow imagining things that never were. There was never a time when someone who enjoyed 100% media coverage won over someone who had 99%- solely on the effect of that 1% difference.
    (2) It doesn't matter if Villar won the 'media coverage' contest by a mere inch. An inch does not matter. A mile does. Fact is, both Noy2x and Villar enjoyed vast media coverage compared to people like Gordon, Gibo, Madrigal, Acosta, Perlas, etc. (think about those who got the least votes). This invalidates your claim:
given the outcome of our most recent national election, it's a fact that the media doesn't dictate the votes of most Filipinos anymore.
