actually, it really depends.... who ever is head over heels, when break-up comes, it he/she gets to be the last to move on. that is because of the love that he/she has for that person. like me, love kaayo nako akong boyfriend karon but he is in the phase of losing the spark or lost the spark already along the way, d man kaayo o dili xa affected at all on how i feel and on what we are about to lose and what is about to be thrown away, ako man gud ang head over heels sa ia so it is very normal if he can leave his life happily even with out me kay dili man me pareho ka inlove sa usag usa. i would also say it does not follow nga it is the female who gets the challenge of moving on right away i have heard a story that it was the man who was so in love of the girl nga xa ang ga lisud jud ug move on after the break-up.

Heartache knows no gender. People are different in coping with the emotional stress simply because people are just different. I think it doesn't matter whether one is born male or female or no matter the sexual orientation to how fast one can recover from heartbreak.

The only factor I think worth considering is the emotional quotient(EQ) of the individual.

If the person is raised in a loving environment, with a supportive and affectionate family as well as having a strong circle of friends who are constant in their attentions-- with such, a heartbreak does not become an impossible mountain to climb over but just a small stone to trip over, get up and walk on in the road of Life.
