well, if this story was true, i think its not cory who is selfish, but doy laurel... gi hatagan na gud siya ug order nga i press release nalang kung unsa man gi ingon sa iyaha ni marcos... di na need pa ug ipa agi kay cory.

however, it begs the question of why Mrs. Aquino would not allot at least 5 mins of her time just to listen on what the VP has to . Mas maayo man siguro kung makahibaw sa ang President on what this "highly classified information" is before letting the VP, and not her?!, to let it out in the open.

probably because she might already have a hint kung unsa gusto ni marcos, "ang maki pag deal". so since ite the filipino people that were responsible for ousting marcos, then it should be the people who must decide. mao gani, if this story was true, then doy laurel is the one who is at fault for not following the commander in chief's orders. kung gipagawas pa ni laurel in public ang request/deal ni marcos, then naka decide na unta ang pilipinas kung unsa buhaton, pabalikon ba siya or dili.

Wise kaayo si Marcos kay offer niya "His Foundation" will distribute, 90% of "His Ill gotten wealth".
Result: He'll look like a martyr as the one who gave a lot to the Philippines.
It would just taint the deeds of the millions of people who died and sacrificed during the martial law years, our parents.

Sayon ra kaayo para nato, mga batanon, na wala mo agi ug marital law mo sulti "For the Good of the country".
But morally, the deal is unacceptable.

Marcos should face a Philippine court and relinquish ALL (not only 90%) of his ill gotten wealth based on the court's decision, not on HIS terms.

(If the deal went through, then I should have grown up to be a robber/plunderer then negotiate with the government that I would return part of the amount for immunity.)
