kay kung iya tong gipaminaw si doy laurel and then she would be the one to relate it to the people, then unsa mugawas sa huna2 sa uban tawo? "aah gi offeran pod siguro na si cory ug dako2 aron pabalikon lang si marcos sa pinas"... so imo its a good decision on cory's part. ang question lang is... why doy laurel insists on relaying it to the president privately? the commander in chief already ordered him to relay it to the people.

but i do remember something about this supposedly "marcos deal" (vaguely lang kay nagtulo pa akong sip-on aning mga panahona) i think ang position ni cory (and i think the rest of the country) ani is: "ngano makipag deal man ta sa nangawat? mura ba, ikaw na gani nangawat, ikaw pa ang naay demands".

point taken..... but some decisions involving the FATE of the phil. nation to be change for the

better.... I think it's selfish to let this slip away.... para unsa ra gud na eh lubong siya diri sa pinas

to save this country? diba? damage has been done... the president can only do damage control....

this one should be at the top of the list.....

however, it begs the question of why Mrs. Aquino would not allot at least 5 mins of her time just to listen on what the VP has to . Mas maayo man siguro kung makahibaw sa ang President on what this "highly classified information" is before letting the VP, and not her?!, to let it out in the open.

At that time maybe its difficult to decide given mrs aquino's indecisiveness and reliance on his advisers who i'm sure was against the idea as they too have wanted their share of the loot. with the present situation, it could have been the right decision to agree with the proposal 90-10 and forgive the Marcoses. Comparing to what we have done today, not only did we forgive the Marcoses, we even elected his son as a senator without even asking a single word of apology and yet retain 100% of the wealth. Given the current economic condition, a 50-50 settlement could have been mrs aquino's legacy to the Filipino people. sayang....

even though i admire Pres. Cory, i can't help but point out to how many mistakes she made. bisag dapat unta ni ipa transparent sa Filipino people, iya unta gi hatagan og chance og paminaw kung unsa ang message ni marcos. IF this is NOT true, I just hope Pres. Cory died peacefully, no regrets, no unsettled conflicts from other parties...

If tinuod man jud ni, Cory then put her personal interests and her cronies' ahead of the national welfare. Ahaizzzz.....

But then this is still urban legend for me until proven otherwise.
