Love is sellfish.. yet it is also selfless..and overrated.. Too many definition of and comparison to love..ú However, in relation to the question.. I'd say love is selfish.. coz there's no such thing as divine love or pure love.. In reality, when we love, we always expect or should i say hope that our love is reciprocated.. and when it is reciprocated we can not do away with our selfish wants, desires, and/or demands.. Thus, I say love is selfish and soo much more..ú

For me...definitely no. However, if the person who is inlove has impossible standards for her man like-he can't go out, can't talk to other girls, can't go drink or hang out with his buddies, can't go to the party without you, or whatever...then definitely selfish gyud na. There are people who are like that and it's because of their insecurities (most of the time) or inability to trust the other that makes them selfish when it comes to falling inlove.

I think to love is to be selfish.

Because love is a your feeling which makes others benifit/suffer.
It is something that you enjoy.
It makes you happy.
It can even make hurt other people.
