Most are in full rigor. And they have these wooden braces to prop them up..
Look closely at the photos (#1, #2 for example), you would see the wooden braces.

i wonder if there are still people nowadays who takes this kind of pictures... most if not all pictures of dead people that ive seen are those in the coffin. people at wakes takes pictures of the dead but they don't do it like this. this is just morbid and scary...and since the pictures are yellowing and old... you cant help but get goosebumps. hahaha
and btw, memento mori is latin for "Remember you must die"

There are some photographers / artists nowadays who used cadavers (or pieces of 'em) as their subjects. I can send you some sample photos of their artwork, if you're interested...
